Food Waste Prevention Week is a national movement dedicatedto reducing food waste. To celebrate, Deschutes County is launching a FoodWaste Prevention Workshop for Restaurants. Brought to you by Deschutes CountySolid Waste, Deschutes County Environmental Health and Love Yourself Nutrition.This workshop is designed to empower restaurant owners, catering managers,chefs, and kitchen teams with the tools they need to cut food waste, savemoney, and elevate sustainable practices in their operations.

Food waste isn’t just an environmental issue; it’s abusiness opportunity. During this workshop, participants will discover provenstrategies to reduce waste before it happens, streamline kitchen systems,optimize purchasing and storage, and improve overall efficiency. Learning andimplementing new practices can reduce environmental impact, boostprofitability, strengthen resilience, and enhance customer satisfaction.
