Why We Came Together

The Regional Business Alliance was formed with a simple belief: Central Oregon is strongest when we advocate together.

Businesses throughout the region face many of the same challenges, regardless of city or county boundaries. By bringing together chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, and business leaders under one coordinated voice, the Alliance is helping ensure regional priorities are represented in Salem and beyond.

Our mission is to:

  • Strengthen Central Oregon's collective voice on public policy
  • Identify and advance shared regional priorities.
  • Foster collaboration among business organizations and community partners.
  • Build lasting relationships with state and local decision-makers.
  • Ensure business perspectives help shape public policy before decisions are made.
Our First Year

In just one year, the Regional Business Alliance has:

  • Established a collaborative regional advocacy network.
  • Developed shared legislative priorities for the 2026 Short Session.
  • Expanded engagement with businesses across Central Oregon.
  • Built stronger relationships with state legislators and regional partners.
  • Launched Regional Business Roundtables to hear directly from employers.
  • Begun planning for the 2027 Legislative Session months before law makers return to Salem.
By the Numbers
  • 3 counties represented (Jefferson, Crook and Deschutes)
  • 9 regional partners represented
  • 100+ businesses engaged
  • 12 regional roundtables, policy workshops, and events hosted
  • 15 bills tracked, five legislative wins in 2026 short session
