Crook County Health and Human Services and Rimrock Trails are bringing the community together to celebrate connection, hope, and recovery in honor of NationalRecovery Month and National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

Throughout September, local organizations will host free events and activities designed to build connection, resilience, and support across Crook County. The events build toward a community resource fair, "Stronger Together: Celebrating Connection, Hope, & Recovery," on Friday, September 25th, from 5–7:30 PM at Grizzly Mountain Pavilion, at the Crook County Fairgrounds. The free event includes:

  • Connections with local organizations and community resources
  • Live music from Cheyenne West
  • Complimentary mocktails from Lucky Star Mobile Bar
  • Food from Corndog Co. of Central Oregon
  • A candlelight vigil to remember and honor loved ones lost
"Suicide prevention and recovery work best when a whole community is involved," said Katie Plumb, Crook County Health & Human Services Director. "This event is an opportunity to bring residents, service providers, and local partners together around a shared commitment to hope and connection."
