The Family Access Network (FAN) welcomes new Board of Directors member, Wendy Graunitz of Bend, Oregon. Wendy brings over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, currently working as a mortgage loan officer at OnPoint Community Credit Union. Her financial background and commitment to serving the families of Central Oregon bring immense value to the Board. The FAN Foundation is the 501(c)(3) arm of FAN, founded in 2006 to support the long-term fiscal sustainability of the Family Access Network program. The FAN Foundation exists to raise funds, increase community awareness, and support the operations of FAN advocates’ work in Central Oregon schools.

“Wendy will bring a fresh perspective to the FAN Board of Directors,” says Julie Lyche, FAN Executive Director. “She may be new to FAN, but as a long-time, active member of the Central Oregon community, she already understands where our families need support as well as where our community shines.”

Wendy is passionate about investing in her community through volunteerism and financial education, believing that knowledge and access to resources empower people to build stronger financial futures. She regularly supports youth and community members by sharing practical financial guidance and encouraging financial confidence. Outside of her professional life, Wendy enjoys spending time outdoors and taking advantage of Oregon’s sunshine.

Unique to Central Oregon, FAN began in 1993 and currently employs 28 advocates at 66 sites in Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties. These advocates work tirelessly to help families break the cycle of poverty. The direct placement of FAN advocates within schools allows FAN to effectively reach and connect children and families in need to essential resources to thrive.
