The Bend Chamber Association Health Plan is entering an important new chapter, with expanded health insurance options for Oregon employers beginning October 1.
Moda Health will become the plan’s primary medical carrier, replacing Providence Health Plan as Providence winds down its Oregon group health insurance business. Kaiser Permanente will also be available as an additional option for eligible employers within its service area.
For businesses currently enrolled with Providence, the timing of the transition to Moda will depend on your group’s renewal date. Groups renewing October through December will transition at renewal, while groups with 2027 renewal dates will transition January 1. Moda will provide credit for eligible 2026 deductible and out-of-pocket amounts for groups transitioning before year-end, and rates will be guaranteed for 12 months.
The Chamber worked closely with our Board, Health Insurance Task Force and Alliant/Johnson Benefit Planning to ensure this long-standing member benefit remains strong, competitive and sustainable.
