Things
to consider about relocating to Bend
- Bend is growing fast. The economy has changed from wood products to
tourism and is changing again to high tech, manufacturing, health care and
professional services. Businesses are looking for highly qualified
individuals.
- Because of our fast growth, Bend is no longer considered rural. Our
present population is over 75,000. Even though we are no longer rural, we aren't a
large urban center either. We have unsurpassed outdoor recreational
opportunities, but still lack some large city cultural and shopping amenities.
- We hope you visit here several times before you make your decision to
relocate. Visiting in different seasons really lets you experience Bend to its
fullest.
- It’s a good idea to thoroughly research the area that you are considering
moving to. In addition to the Chamber sending you information about Bend, you
might consider subscribing to the local newspaper,
The Bulletin.
We have a relocation packet available for $15.00. You can either call us,
541-382-3221, with a credit card or mail a check to 777 NW Wall St, Ste 200,
Bend, OR 97701.
Bend is a wonderful, friendly community and we would welcome you in selecting it
as your next home.
