Leadership Bend
Leadership Bend is a community leadership development program designed to
identify, educate, train and connect willing and committed citizens to
leadership roles in our community. Now in our 15th year, we are a 501 (c) (3)
non-profit organization and fully supported from community resources.
WHO participates in Leadership Bend?
The program seeks to bring together community spirited people and businesses
who believe in a healthy community and the need to become a stakeholder
investing in leadership. Leaders are identified from a broad cross section of
both acknowledged and aspiring leaders who represent the diversity of our
community, yet all share a common commitment to a better future for our
community.
WHAT is Leadership Bend?
Leadership Bend is an annual nine-month program of the Bend Chamber
investing in Leadership. During the full-day sessions, scheduled once a month,
participants work together with local leaders to expand awareness and
understanding of unique issues and challenges facing this community and region.
This exposes better opportunities for an “active and effective” role in
addressing community needs. The curriculum includes community assignments
related to each month’s topic, challenging the participants to explore current
issues first-hand.
WHY Invest in Leadership Bend?
No matter how much technology you have, people are your company’s greatest
asset. Leadership Bend keeps leaders plugged in to become part of the solution
to issues and needs. When you invest in leadership development, you build your
major resource, your people.
Leadership Bend alumni become community trustees. These leaders know that
change happens through the combined energies of people “ all us working
together.” Make a financial commitment to your community today and invest in
leadership development for a healthy community.
