How To Get What You Desire
By Monica Wheeler
Abundant Life Coaching, LLC

As a life coach, I have created a six-step game plan called DESIRE for my clients to use to reach their full potential and achieve their goals. You can use this method whether you want your dream career, dream retirement, or simply to devise a way to take that dream vacation. Give it a try today!
Decide what it is you really want: Many people feel something is missing in their life or want to be happier, but have no idea what they need to accomplish this. Often when they get what they think they wanted it turned out to be not what they wanted at all. Therefore, the first step is to really determine what exactly you want in your life.
Explore your various options to get there: Many roads lead to Rome so once you have a goal in mind brainstorm on the various options to get you to the goal. Write down as many as you can think of. It doesn’t matter if you can’t use all of them just write them down.
Strategize a game plan: Now it is time to go through the various options and pick the best course of action to reach your goal and strategize a game plan to get there. Use the process of elimination and write out the pros and cons of each option so you can pick the most successful game plan.
Implement your plan: No amount of goal setting and strategizing will be worthwhile if you don’t put the plan into action. Work on reaching your goal everyday. Break large goals into easy to manage daily tasks so they don’t seem so daunting.
Reach your goal: All your hard work will eventually pay off and if you stay true to the course you will eventually reach your goal. It may take a longer or shorter amount of time than you expect, but if you stay focused you will succeed.
Evaluate for the next step: Life is a process of change, growth, and continuous improvement. Once you have achieved your goal, pat yourself on the back then look ahead to the next mountain to tackle. You can do it!
You can use this method to get you started on reaching your goals, but for a more personalized plan of attack, having a coach will benefit you greatly. I can be reached at 383-2464 for further information and coaching.
